The stones here speak, because they are a part
of our past and a part of our present.
Beniarbeig
The cave known as Cova Bolumini was used as a dwelling and, during the Early Bronze Age, as a burial place. The existence of rock artworks has been documented inside, these being specifically several lines painted on a natural column. These types of artistic manifestations have been related to the spiritual world of the first settlers of these lands, and are one of the indications that lead the scholars to think that the cave could have served as a sanctuary. In addition, during the summer solstice and the days before and after that moment, sunlight enters the cave shortly after the start of the day, creating a luminous phenomenon that makes this a very special place.
